Seven Ontario Players Named to Canada's U17 Roster for FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

Canada Soccer has unveiled its 20-player squad for the upcoming 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under-17 Championship, which serves as Canada’s pathway to qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India later this year. Led by Coach Emma Humphries, the Canadian team will compete for one of the four available spots in the global tournament from April 23 to May 8.

This marks the second Concacaf youth tournament since the onset of the global pandemic, which led to the cancellation of tournaments in 2020 and 2021. At the recent Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship held in the Dominican Republic, Canada secured a third-place finish, securing their place in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica in 2022.
